🌸We are totally smitten with these beautiful rare vintage Japanese wooden Kokeshi dolls, each with a UNIQUE gorgeous hand painted pattern print, blossom, flowers or alike, symbols of peace and harmony🌸they look great either on their own or grouped, pop them on the mantelpiece, fireplace or a shelf they just look so at home wherever you place them🌸

Kokeshi Dolls are thought to originate from Northern Japan in the early 19th century. They were traditionally carved to have a simple trunk with no arms or legs just a head and are hand painted. 

Traditionally they were given to children by their grandparents to wish them a safe, happy & long life, we love this story! 🌸
